We've released a new major version of the Scout APM Python agent, with significant changes to supported language versions and frameworks. The new version of the Scout APM Python agent includes a number of significant improvements, including:

• Support for Python 3.11
• Support for Python 3.12 coming soon
• Improved performance and scalability
• Compatibility with updated Python libraries, such as Celery, Flask, and SQLAlchemy
• The same easy installation and usage you know and love

We recommend that all of our Python agent users upgrade to the new version as soon as possible. To upgrade, simply run the following command:

" pip install --upgrade scout-apm "

Python 2.7 and early versions of Python 3 are no longer supported, so please proactively pin to the 2.26.1 version until you're ready to upgrade your Python version.
